Start your adventure with a short boat ride to Prison Island, just 30 minutes from Stone Town. Home to giant tortoises imported from the Seychelles in 1919, the island is also perfect for snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. Though once planned as a quarantine station, it later became known for a prison that was never actually used.

After your island visit, head back to Stone Town and dive into its rich history on foot. Explore the vibrant Old Market, dating back to 1903, and discover landmarks such as the House of Wonders, Tippu Tip’s House, and the Old Fort.
